How reviews and ratings work

Who can review

Anyone with a free account can review a hosting provider they have personally used. You may post one review per provider. Details such as how long you were a customer are self-reported unless a review is explicitly marked verified.

What we publish

New reviews are held for moderation. We publish honest reviews, positive or negative, that describe a real experience in at least a few sentences. We remove spam, abuse, personal data, promotional text, reviews written by a provider or its staff about itself, and reviews that appear to be part of an exchange for payment or incentives.

How the score is calculated

A provider’s rating is the simple average of its approved review ratings. It is never weighted by advertising or affiliate revenue. Providers with no approved reviews show “No reviews yet”.

Commercial links

Some outbound links to providers may earn us a commission. Those links are marked sponsored, and a commercial relationship never changes a rating or a moderation decision.
